Mid-resto patchwork project

A patchwork van that was probably early-mid restoration. This could be what became the 'rat look', or just someone happy to bring their car out for the run. One of the reasons I like the Brighton Breeze London to Brighton Run is you see a lot more daily drivers / basket cases than at the big shows. I like a rough looking aircooled VW, they seem a lot more real to me than an ultra-shiny car that's better than when it came out of the factory.
